YBS conducts more than 40 workshops, programs, seminars, and conferences throughout the academic school year. These efforts create a comprehensive curriculum of academic and cultural enrichment activities. They also help both scholars and parents prepare for college admissions, selection, and continued success.
Moreover, to expose students to the college environment and to create a climate of higher learning, YBS hosts its activities on the campuses of colleges and universities.
Ultimately, our process, resources, and alumni help transform opportunities into realities for thousands of African American students.
Since 1986, YBS has assisted more than 21,000 students realize their dreams of attending college.
Throughout the Los Angeles area, over 170 high schools and 1,000 students, in grades nine through 12, are involved in YBS.
